My second article for Construct neatly coincides with their Lockdown Vol.1 for good reason. This time I will be debuting a concise and descriptive form of analysis! So let’s jump straight in.
Right now it’s vital for ravers to revel in retrospect and fantasise about the future. What might seem like a reason to be down is actually a reason to step back and be grateful! In Cambridge we have a thriving scene for all kinds of music, despite complications often arising in fluctuations of the available late night venues and a lack of dedicated spaces for more niche genres and surrounding culture. Therefore it will continue to flourish further when social functions resume later this year, thanks to a stellar network of promoter and production crews from fresh to far fledged, many of whom have merely postponed their brilliant plans.
CORONAVIRUS PRESS RELEASE
Construct Sound has taken the advice of health specialists and has taken the decision to halt all projects that involve mass gatherings. This includes the next Pure Techno event in Holland, that was due to occur Mid-May.
Our team sends condolences and hope to those in need. Global media is already reporting on recovery, there is light at the end of this tunnel.
There are a number of projects in the pipeline that can and will continue, irrelevant of the Coronavirus outbreak; These include a debut series of Compilation EPs entitled “More than a Feeling” that we will be releasing on a regular monthly basis, to help keep us all entertained during this period of social isolation and for the subsequent future.
An article regarding our most recent Pure Techno event at The Cambridge Junction will be published at the end of this week, marking a new chapter of online content publishing for Construct Sound, and the world in our contact.
We are also exploring the possibility of expanding our live streaming activities including virtual reality as a medium in which we will be able to broadcast for the general public. Talks are underway with TRIBE XR who have created a virtual reality simulator of fully functional CDJ decks and a mixer.
This is a concerning time for us all but positive reactions to this situation are paramount. Events and tourism workers, as well as those of other related industries, must be co-operative in support to ensure preservation.
All those who are decision-makers in the event industry such as venue owners and event organisers, please feel free to contact us if you have any collaboration ideas or want to begin strategising for the future.
All The Best,
The Construct Sound Board
Introducing a Pure Techno / Construct Sound concept:
We at HQ thought that we should catch everyone up on what we’ve been up to this summer. From our first ever party in the UK to our first ever party in Tel-Aviv!
August, Construct’s 7th month of existence, has been one of our best yet!
The beginning of summer saw Construct Sound host their first ‘Resonance” DnB night in Manchester; at the well known Joshua Brookes venue. The event was an exciting mix of growing talent within the scene, such as the likes of Selector Spinach, DJ Dutta, DJ SPRKY and experienced heavy-weights Phatworld headlining the event.
After Manchester, The Gentleman Squatter played a set on the Green Machine Stage at the Strawberry Fair, Cambridge; accompanied by Construct’s MC Metronoom. The duo then went on to perform on the Reggae2Jungle stage at Beats 4 Love in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
The Construct team organised a party in Manchester and it was a really fun night with a wide variety of different DJ’s.
We at the Construct Team want to thank all people for attending and making the night so awesome!
Once we were done with Manchester we set off towards our headquarters in London, but on the way two of our resident artists played a wicked set at The Strawberry Fair in Cambridge.
We are currently working on a video of both events and hopefully, you should see it within the next couple of weeks!
Construct is excited to be announcing the appointment of Phillip Green to become the new Director of Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg & Germany. Mr. Green has been appointed on account of his experience within the music industry, being not only an excellent performing artist, but also a great visionary, with expertise in business strategy. Mr Green will mainly be focusing on the development of Construct Media Group within the European market, as well as heading up the events team in the Netherlands. He will also be a member of the board of Directors, assisting with all top-level decisions. We are excited to be welcoming him to the family, and hope that we can build Construct Media Group better and faster, now we have him on board.
This is just the beginning.
From the Construct Board.
